Sign Dance

It was happening a long time ago. About 5 or 6 years before today. I was living in Australia at that time, and there was this big event  -  Praise and Worship Concert held in a stadium.

The stadium is divided into sections. I got a seat right in front of the stage (which is the furthest position since the stage is located on one side of this circular stadium) that we only can see the performance through two big screens installed right next to the stage.

Everything one well. The concert started. We listened to the song. We sang to the song. We danced to the song. We were having a great time. Until I saw something that stopped me, took all my attention and take my breath away.

Now I know it’s called “Sign Dance”.

There was one section in the stadium that was dedicated to the deaf and hearing impaired. There were about 100 of them in that sections. Not a small number, I thought. They were ‘singing’ to the song. No, they were not using their voice. They sang to the song using their language. Sign Language.

She was wearing a nice white dress. Standing in front of her group, she led them ‘singing’ the song using sign language.

I think it was the best song performed at the concert.
