I always want to be a writer
Yeah, I think that’s the best title for my post today. I always want to be a writer. Yet, like I wrote on my facebook status a couple of month ago: “I read, then I want to write. I write, then I quit”.
Why do I want to be a writer?
One, I like books. I adore books. I have lots of books in my own personal library, and read half of it. It’s always been my dream, that one day I will have a book with my name on it.
Two, I love reading. I read novels, magazines, articles, comics, newspapers, blogs, websites, and so on.
Three, I always amazed by how can a writer put their feelings on a piece of paper. How they combine words into sentence. How they combine sentences into paragraph. How they combine paragraph into story.
Once I read an article about becoming a writer, and one good tip they give is: to become a writer, you have to start writing. Anything. Anywhere. Anytime. It’s not supposed to be a good short story, or a nice poem, or a romantic letter. Just write what you see, what you hear, and what you feel. That’s the beginning.
I followed the suggestion. I started. I create blogs. Lots of blogs. Here and there. I don’t know where the universe is going to take me. But here I am. Another blog. Another writing. Like Anne Lamott said: do it ‘bird by bird’. One bird at a time.
